One of the key signature events included in the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival program is the annual Professional Bull Riders Tour Stop, which attracts some of the most accomplished elite bull riders this nation has to offer.

Rated as one of the best outdoor bull riding productions in the nation, the event features the most extreme All Star bucking bulls, chute cameras, instant replays combined with a choreographed rock n roll atmosphere to give audiences an event experience like no other.

A field of riders including both current and former Australian Champions, State Champions, Circuit Champions and some of the hottest young bull riding rookies to have ever entered an arena go head to head on one bull each, with the top 10 scorers from this round progressing onto the Championship Round.

Sanctioned by the Professional Bull Riders of Australia, the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Bull Ride also offers national riders the opportunity to earn prize-money that counts towards qualifying for the lucrative PBR Tour in the USA, along with valuable points which count towards the crowning of the PBR Australian Champion. Julia Creek is just one of a select few Australian events to offer this pathway and with the $10 000 in prize-money on offer, making it one of the biggest paying events on the tour as well as being considered as one of the toughest competitions of the tour.
