One of the key signature events included in the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival program is the annual Professional Bull Riders tour stop, which attracts some of the most accomplished and elite bull riders this nation has to offer.

Rated as one of the best outdoor bull riding productions in the country, the event features Australia's best bull riders ontop of the meanest bucking bulls in an 8 second showdown like no other. They call it the "Toughest Sport on Dirt!" for a reason and the PBR Challenger Series at Julia Creek is guaranteed to live up to that expectation on the 17th April 2010

The PBR will thrill you with heart stopping, pulse racing action wrapped in a rock concert, pyrotechnic extravaganza!

A field of the top 40 PBR Australia bull riders, including both current and former PBR Australian Champions, and some of the hottest young bull riding rookies to have ever entered an arena, will go head to head on one bull each. The top 10 scores from this round will progress into the Championship Round to determine the 20109 PBR Challenger Series - Julia Creek Champion and a slice of the $10,000 prize money.

Unlike other bull rides around the country the PBR Challenger Series - Julia Creek event offers our Australian competitors the opportunity to earn prize-money that counts towards qualifying for the lucrative PBR Tour in the USA, along with valuable points which count towards the crowning of the 2010 PBR Australian Champion. Julia Creek is just one of a select few Australian events to offer this opportunity making it one of the best destinations on the tour as well as being considered one of the toughest events of the season.
