PROGRAM OF EVENTS

Friday 20th April

  • Between 4 - 5pm: Arrival of the “Pit Stop to the Creek" – Bikes, Planes, Caravans, Buses and Coaches.
  • 4pm - 6pm: Junior Triathlon [TBC]
  • 4.30pm - 9pm: Triathletes Sign On at the Triathlon Office, Council Chambers. Main Street, Julia Creek, QLD.
  • 5.30pm: Welcoming Dinner – Fair Dinkum Carbo Feast
  • Entertainment
  • 7.35pm: SNEAK PEEK of the Bog Snorkelling
  • 7.40pm: Live Music
  • Kids Entertainment; Kids Rides, Face Painting & Stilt Walkers
  • 9pm: Registrations open for Final Heat for ABB
  • 9.45pm: Final Heat for Australia’s Best Butt Competition
  • Cont. Live music ‘til Midnight

 

Saturday 21st April

  • 6am - 7.30am: Triathletes Numbering and Briefing – Venue: Town & Country Club, Julia Creek, QLD
  • 7.00am: Cattle Truck for bikes commences loading
  • 8.30am: Cattle Truck leaves with the bikes for the Water Hole.
  • 8.30am: Both Greyhound Buses leave for waterhole - Triathletes first, then spectators.
  • 9.30 am: Start of the ‘Cannington Dirt & Dust Triathlon’ at Eastern Creek.
  • 12.30pm: BHP Artesian Express Horse Race, Julia Creek Turf Club. Red Claw Luncheon at the races – Pre-bookings only. Food served between 1-3PM Only. 5.30pm: Gates open at Main Venue for the Dirt n Dust Bullride Event & Concert.
  • 6 - 7pm: Presentation of the Cannington Dirt & Dust Triathlon. Main stage.
  • Kids rides and Entertainment.
  • 7pm: Official opening of the Dirt n Dust Bullride.
  • 9.30pm: Entertainment TBA
  • 10.30pm: Finals of Australia's Best Butt Competition.
  • Cont. live band until 2am

 

Sunday 22nd April

  • 7 - 9am: Farewell Breakfast
  • 9am: Junior Triathlon Presentation at the Club
  • 12pm - 4pm: Rest & Recovery
  • 4pm – Late: Karaoke & Music Community Shindig! Town & Country Club, Julia Creek.
